All my LEX deliveries are failing - But look at the timings!

Yeah, IIRC clicking on "Dispute" gives a list of options one of which is "Courier did not contact me" (or something like that).

Yep, thats the option I chose.

It's allegedly out for delivery again now, different driver.

24x51g of Snickers bars.

I guess at 14bht/bar (vs 35bht/bar in the shops) I can live with them being a bit melted.

I dispute their claim that they tried to deliver the orders.

Sounds like that would be a "he said, she said" type disputes until one has some solid proof.

I expect Lazada may reply (if they even reply) with some type of weak, customer-oriented response like "Due to the high amount of deliveries your delivery may be delayed...we are working to make delivery as soon as possible...sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused." One of those responses that just PO's a person even more. And then Lazada waits until the dispute submission automatically clears when delivery actually occurs.

Well if they want a copy of my front driveway camera video recording, I can definitely prove nobody arrived at my gate. And the village security take a photo of the d/l of all delivery drivers entering, but he didn't appear on their list either.

Don't assume everyone's home is as insecure as your home!

Expected 4 deliveries yesterday. But that evening got message

"Delivery failed as recipient not reachable".

Bull<deleted>, of course, but it was pissing down, and the poor chap's usually on a Honda Wave, buried in parcels!

The reason they lie is probably all about face, or their delivery status, and, of course, it's not their fault, because Thais will never take responsibility, whereas we generally value honesty.

"The Brakes Failed" should be printed on the Thai flag.

However, I've had the same lies in Sydney, saying I wasn't home! Had to change a flight back to BKK once because of a failed delivery

At least the Thais smile!

They all have camera phones to record their work and collect CoD.

If they can't produce a time stamped GPS located photo of your front gate, they weren't there! The route map of their progress during their working day is also tracked and recorded in real time by their employers.

Does nobody else understand the modern world?

Had another failed delivery attempt yesterday, unlike my two previous failed attempts which showed the package in their warehouse this time they tried a different approach :

Was expecting a delivery yesterday.

Then go an email from Lazada

Sorry for the delay!

We noticed that there has been a delay for your order. We are working closely with the delivery teams to deliver your package within the next 3 days, by 15 ก.ย.. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Then tracked the package today and saw this.

Interesting if you feed those GPS numbers into Maps, was it LEX?

Yes, LEX .

No wonder they are struggling, looks like they are working out of a bus stop over the road from Shopee and SPX !

I went out to the LEX Pattaya delivery warehouse...I can't say for sure this was it from an aerial photo...

I was expecting a Makro-sized place, but the reality is the LEX Depo was a fair bit smaller than I thought it would be...So this could MAYBE be a correct photo...

I can order most anything I want, and have it delivered the next day, occasionally the same day, and most always within a few days, unless it comes from outside Thailand. And if I don't like it, I can send it back.

What do we have to moan about? This reminds me of when I got a rental call and caught myself getting annoyed that I had to actually hold the button until the window was all the way down.

Wow...the delivery guy spent a whole 2 minutes in trying to deliver your order before deciding on a failed delivery...such dedication to duty. Then again, maybe you live within 2 minutes of the last mile facility. 😉😉

My order that had a failed delivery two days ago got delivered the next day, but I reckon the delivery staff is overloaded.

At midday yesterday I received a message "your order will be delivered within the next hour". Since I was about 20km away, and really needed this item, I jumped in the car and drove home.

At 2pm, there still was no sign of a delivery, so I called the guy who spoke reasonable English. He told me he would arrive in the next 30 minutes.

At 3:30pm still no delivery, so I called him again, and he said please wait I'm coming..

Shortly before 4pm he finally arrived, and was still loaded like a mule.
I don't know how they get paid, if it is per shift or per delivered parcel, but if it is the latter the remaining staff still may make a decent wage, though it will be a hell of a job.

Sounds like a similar thing is happening in the Philippines. Could it have something to do with rainy season?

It's the same rainy season for the other logistic companies

The reports I've heard about in the Philippines were also for LEX so if it is just with them then it's not limited to Thailand.
Has anyone had problems with any other delivery companies lately?

I'd suggest it's staffing problems, not weather problems.

My orders arrived yesterday afternoon.

The mosquito killer is very effective.

In one night it's laid waste to about 50 of the little devils.

Cost me 125bht, way better than all the others that did nothing.

Off topic but do you have a link to the mosquito killer please?

I dont know about "Lex". There is an outfit delivering up here (Chiang Rai) called "Treks".

My garden grass is very soft at the moment due to lots of rain.

A couple of afternoons back a "Treks" pick up drove in. I hadn't ordered anything, he was looking to turn round. He bogged in. No problem, he phoned a friend who drove in and bogged in! Eventually they found a guy with a tractor who dragged them out. By that stage my front garden looked like the Somme battlefield!

So I phoned their depot and spoke to the girl. She spoke some English (it is always the girls who do!) The next morning the manager came round, to look at the damage, drove into the garden and bogged in!

Well guys so much for Lazadas new delivery dispute button.....I had clicked on the button that the driver did not try and make the delivery....And now today I get a new message that the package will be returned to the sender...lol

Thankfully, I had already reordered on Shopee....

But I am disappointed Lazada will not be giving me the opportunity to reject the package...

Lazada dumped LEX in Vietnam and they seem very close to doing the same in Thailand...

I never used to have issues with Lazada until now. I placed four orders on 31 August. As of yesterday, I had received none. 0 for 4 after two weeks.

One order cancelled (and I did get a refund).

Re-ordered the same item on Shopee and I received that in less than 48 hours.

Three other orders are missing. I called and they said it takes the 96 hours (four days!) to investigate before they can cancel the orders and issue me a refund.

Their online tracking is a joke. For example “your order will be delivered on 03 September” but the message was sent on 05 Sept, then on 06 Sept, then on 07 September. Basically saying your order will be delivered four days ago. I am not sure how their calendars work.

I won’t be ordering anything from Lazada anymore.

My understanding is that LEX is a Lazada owned company , or is a subsidiary of the parent company. (I think it stands for Lazada Express.) So would they fire their own operation?

My experience is LEX farms out the actual deliveries to other couriers such as Lalamove. I’ve never seen a truck or a motorcycle with LEX signage. So what LEX is actually responsible for and how they do it is a bit of a mystery to me.

Doesn’t matter. I’m done with Lazada for the foreseeable future.

I believe they use third party logistics companies. The third party company uses self employed drivers who do it as a second job.

A lot of the small amount of deliveries to me are on the weekends or after "regular" working hours.
