Ditto on the porkies!

We are definitely not in a remote location being just north of Bangkok.

"Delivery" photos have GPS co-ords which are indeed their local depot, 15km each way, it's actually only 3km as the crow flies, but someone put a bloody great river in the way.

Many sellers are on both platforms although I really don't like the Shopee app, I will get used to it!

I used to love Lazada but after so many orders not getting shipped and then seing my money get returned after failed shipping i started using Shopee

Best part its cheaper on most items

So many more discounts

I do use Lazada if i can find it on Shopee but very rarely get a shopee order cancelled

I think the government should takeover Lazada and make it free!

But don’t despair, there is hope !

My package arrived yesterday in line with their original estimated delivery of 26-28th Aug.

Seems like, in my case, they created a problem that didn’t exist !!

Yea, my shipment arrived this afternoon....approx 24 hours after getting the status I posted yesterday. Got the typical "one ring" call just before delivery....standard practice so their system can record they tried to call you if for some reason they couldn't delivery the item after getting very close to your residence.

Before it was not uncommon to occasionally see a status using some weasel wording along the lines the delivery might be delayed a little due to high delivery volumes/ongoing Lazada sales but never before had I got a status specifically saying they had to abort a delivery due to their driver being overloaded with deliveries and also include a picture of their warehouse with lots of boxes stacked up---kinda like being "brutally honest" it's their fault, they are overwhelmed with deliveries, etc.

And of course the typical promise of a 30 baht coupon if the delivery is too late but the problem with the coupon is it can only be used for selected items (items I never need) and for a limited time. I've got several of these over the years....don't know if I've ever been able to use any of them before they expire.

They don't even call us, they just leave it on the porch

If you think Shopee is any better, think again.

This is the third parcel this year Shopee Express lost, being assigned to a driver for 2 days already. Been to the warehouse, and they can't locate it.

Latest update. All 3 lost parcels went through the sorting centre Bang Sao Thong, so if you ever see that name in your tracking details, get prepared for the worst.

The Oracle is suggesting going for COD as drivers are actually rated on COD collection rate, so "lazy" drivers are encouraged to try harder.

Of course that makes things less convenient for us.

Is payment with credit card or debit card accepted for COD deliveries from Lazada?

I believe only cash (of course) and PromptPay QR are possible.

Just got another delivery failed notice from Lazada,

Driver overloaded, two orders not delivered.

Both COD.

Only cash and for "some items" a COD Plus option is available. COD Plus is payment by QR Code/PromptPay. See below Lazada Q&A for COD Plus option.

https://helpcenter.lazada.co.th/s/faq/knowledge?categoryId=101399243&m_station=faq&questionId=k0200000000000000000000000000b09

I've never used the COD Plus option as I prepay for my deliveries via Lazada Wallet or PromptPay--never had a problem even for items returned. Have prepaid for hundreds of orders over the years....no problems to date. I did use COD when I first started using Lazada and Shopee years ago but got tired of that after about 6 months (i.e., waiting to pay a delivery guy whose arrival date/time was variable or leaving money in an envelope) and switched to prepaying for items. But of course I can understand not wanting to prepay if actual delivery to your residence is hit and miss.

Seems like LEX are still struggling with the delivery failures !

After my last “ failed delivery attempt “ resolved itself a couple of days later I assumed that they would have resolved the backlog by now

IMG_9213.png

apparently not !

The last of my Lex deliveries actually happened on the second attempt. I was hoping it would fail coz I'd already got it's replacement from Shopee whistling

I went back through my orders looking for a successful Lex delivery, april was the last one!

I will say that all deliveries up until the latest series of disasters were by Flash.

Oh, and Lazada are fully aware, I got an 80 Baht voucher because of the poor experience!

As someone who has worked in the logistics realm before I’ll hazard a few guesses here

First, most consumer logistics firms have it set up programmatically that at each step, there’s a time limit imposed before the next step must take place .. and failing that metric means consequences for the local delivery center and management team. An example might be that once a load arrives from the sort center, the delivery center has X hours to assign it to a final delivery route/person/vehicle.. I’ll bet that’s why some see those 11:55pm “out for delivery” scans .. then they’d have another X hours to make actual delivery — HOWEVER, if one or more “exceptions” apply, then the delivery center would be “off the hook” for a delayed/missed delivery … and this is my guess why one may see a “customer requested redelivery/delayed delivery” - because that could be reasonably interpreted as outside of the logistics firms control - thus not eligible for fee refund not count against their internal service metrics.

Second… by making these kinds of false scans and misuse of exceptions, logistics firms keep their aggregated performance metrics artificially high and that’s commonly one part of maintaining corporate contracts and not being barred from re-bidding or suffering contractual performance discounting.

Third… It allows the local center to keep an artificial cap on their local delivery driver labor costs as they can then “hold back” some package volume today, consolidate it with tomorrows normal inbound volume (this is especially prevalent in low density areas where delivery distance is high compared to actual package volume) and end up delivering nearly 2x the volume using far less than 2x labor (they may have some OT due to higher loads, but that’s still cheaper than sending a driver out on two consecutive days or sending him out with a “light” load.

It's your location and the people who service that location.

Where I am at 0 problems and I sometimes get 10+ packages a day.

For us, I can go with that. We are 3km from the depot as the crow flies, but it's a 30km round trip by road, someone put a ruddy great river in the way!

In fact we are ideally positioned for drone delivery of light items, we even have a suitable concrete landing area.

That said, the number of members in various locations who are having problems with Lex has to be indicative of a widespread systemic issue (bet it's low pay and crap working conditions).

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

Guys i had a chat with ai about Pattaya's Lazada delivery problems.....

It seems that back in late June or July, Lazada cut the delivery drivers' pay by 50%, and loads of drivers quit....

Drivers in the Pattaya area are not as easily replaced as Bangkok drivers...

Out of desperation, LEX seems to be pawning off a bunch of the deliveries to other companies..

But, the LEX warehouse on the dark side seems to be massively overloaded with packages..

Ai suggested I go out to the LEX warehouse and collect my package....I have my doubts that this will work, but I might try anyways..

But Shopee seems to be working fine...With no driver cut in pay....

Unless the situation with the LEX drivers changes, no telling for how long this Lazada delivery mess could go on for...

I don't think LEX will be hiring many good delivery guys with this 50% pay cut.

It looks like Lazada might be getting out of the freight business.

What the actual flip!!

Out for delivery at 23:16 (11:16PM)!!

At that time of night even I have difficulty finding our entrance gate (no, not because I've been in the pub!) the delivery chap would stand no chance and we would be in bed anyway.

image.png

I have 4 like this plus one that was actually cancelled due to "[recipient request cancellation]" which, of course, I hadn't.

So I now have to re-order the stuff!!

Is it just me or has the Lazada delivery system fallen apart!

Grrr!

It is not just you. My last 2 orders the exact same thing has happened, same messages. They try to make it sound like it is my fault.

Yeah, I moaned to Lazada about that and got ...

... An 80 Baht voucher!

Until things are demonstated to have improved then any order that has LEX as the shipping agent gets cancelled!

One day later or earlier? Who cares. Does it really matters?

The drivers are pushed hard to deliver their parcels on the same day. Sometimes too heavy or bulky. Not to fail in scoring they send you those messages. So for Lazada they fulfilled their job.

Be nice to them! Even the delivery is the next day.

When it's a box of 24 Snickers bars, 1 day is the difference between edible and melted flat.

Lazada reduced the per-parcel delivery fees paid to drivers, leading to widespread walkouts and delivery disruptions in areas like Nong Prue and Pattaya. [1]

What is Happening

  • Lower Pay Rates: Drivers report that Lazada dropped the delivery fee per package by roughly half, heavily cutting their per-trip earnings. [1]

  • Driver Walkouts: Many local couriers have stopped working or left the platform in protest of the sudden pay structure change. [1]

  • Delivery Delays: Customers in Pattaya and Nong Prue experience repeated delivery failures, with tracking updates citing high parcel volumes or unfulfilled routes. [1]

I have a package that has been sitting in the LEX depo on the dark side for 5 days and the delivery date is in 4 more days they say...But I would be very surprised if I even get the package in 4 more days....

The LEX Depo is called "Lazada Express PTY"....Bolt has this listing on their destination choices...I am considering going out there to try and get a package..

With the 9.9 sale coming up soon, I am sure the backlog in deliveries will be much, much worse than even now...

How many times in your life you ordered your Snickers at Lazada?

And if so (Donald would do probably) you are entitled to send back and get a full refund.

Maybe the upcoming 9.9 sale will go down in history as the "9 days late after 9 attempted deliveries sale" if LEX don't get their sh$t together. 😎
