Talk about laboured!

Given your extensive posting on all things living as an expat in Asia, and the length of time you would have us believe you have lived here, do you really expect us to believe you?

Or are you one of those chaps who is constantly walking up and down the road, just happening to glance inside, always on the way to somewhere else?

Chap?

Did you just refer to me as a chap?

Anyway, I have only looked, from the exterior, inside a bar, once or twice, from the road.

I was not impressed by what I saw, on a Sunday morning, on my way to church.

Hardly "just" - some 36 hours ago!

A cynical observer might suggest that you are struggling to keep this thread alive, amidst the almost universal derision it seems to have provoked!

He tries to portray himself as the enigmatic mystery man when, in reality, he’s merely a cognitively challenged shut-in in a declining physical state who spends his days sleeping in his air-conditioned hovel and his nights lurking around on AN’s lunatic fringe.

There is the possiblity of notoriety in such derision.

There is that, after all.

What have you against AC?

AC is healthy, and increases longevity, too.

I will choose AC, as I am fortunate to have money to pay for it.

People here ask me questions.

I politely answer the questions.

There is no mystery about this.

Sorry, I have no knowledge of Anal Cauterization, but I'll take your word for it. I'm glad you can afford to pay for it though as I assume you couldn't get by without it.

Please refrain from being overly and probably intentionally, obtuse.

I enjoy Air Condtiong.

Here is a hot climate.

India is not livable without it.

There are high levels of air pollution here, and high levels of noise, as well.

Air conditioning, under such conditions, promotes longevity.

Everybody knows this.

If you do not know this, then please just refer to the valid literature, which is widely available, these days.

No need for you to strain yourself, overly.

Here is the basic information:

https://apnews.com/article/climate-change-air-conditioning-fdddd1efe2992032f027ed81d05ca51b

Of course, I no longer care about Global Warming, since the situation is now hopeless.

I only care about my own personal comfort.

image.png

But it is not just about increasing longevity.

More important is enhancing quality of life.

For example, AC use can improve mood. And, do you not realize that YOUR MOOD might need a bit of improving?

image.png

If our world were not so over-populated, especially in places such as Bangladesh, then we would not need AC as much.

And, what do you think will happen when the BANGLADESHIs begin clamoring for AC in every room?,,,,

It will be BEDLAM, I tell you.

India will get even hotter, as a result.

It is all Catch-22

They are damned if they do, and damned if they don't, no matter what.

In a nutshell.....They are just plain damned.

Everybody knows this.

Please just check the valid literature.

Even the Bangladeshis know this, and better than most people.

I know this could sound like I’m jumping to conclusions a little bit and going out on a limb, but for some very strange reason, which I can’t even fully explain myself, and I’m not entirely sure why I’m having these thoughts in the first place, or what exactly has led me to this particular line of thinking, it sort of sounds to me like maybe, and again, I could be making completely unsubstantiated assumptions here, and I certainly wouldn’t want to suggest that I’m drawing conclusions where there may not actually be any conclusions to draw, but it would seem to me, although I don’t really have any actual evidence to support it, and I could very well be interpreting things in a way that isn’t necessarily reflective of reality, that I’m beginning to get the impression that you might not really care for India and Bangladesh very much. Or am I wrong?

13 hours ago, GammaGlobulin said:

And what are the other reasons?

Without a reason to be there, unless you're an alky, they're boring as hell, especially if enclosed, and not open air with a view. Only reason I'd be in a bar, club ...

... on late night prowl for some company

... meet up with people

... listen to music

If open air, with a view, and they served up some good food.

Those in India must be getting by, as the majority do not have air conditioning. The other many problems they have are what kills them. The same as Thailand, where fans keep them cool. Dirty water and the diseases from that, severe air pollution, snakebites, and Tiger and Leopard attacks. Earthquakes and Tsunami, landslides and floods.

Are you joking again?

They are dying like flies, from the heat, fairly regularly.

But, what is in store for them within the next 5 or 10 years, will be shocking, even to them, people that live in a toilet.

They are now living on the bitter edge, between living and dying, due to the heat. This is not an exageration.

The conditions are worsening. Are all these little Indians living in a dream world? Yes, they are, and most are totally uneducated, due to the caste system there.

THE WRITING is on the Wall, for all the guys on the Subcontinent. Do they think they can just walk into China, to escape?

This is why a quick NUCLEAR EXCHANGE between what is now Pakistan and the remaining part of India is the best solution for them.

Quick and relatively Painless. Just get it over with, and the rest of the world might learn a lesson.

They cannot say that they did not bring on their overpopulation problem, themselves, due to ingrained ignorance.....right?

image.png

So, very soon, we will see most of India becoming NIGHT PEOPLE, just to escape the heat, and be able to work outside....at night.....

This is ridiculous.

You must really dislike living in this environment....Thailand.

You keep Talking about how great Texas is, even the rattlesnakes in Texas, probably.

But Texas is being hard hit, too.

And, there will soon be drought throughout much of Texas and the midwest, too, as global surface temps continue to rise.

Famine will come to Texas, too, and today's children will rue the day they were ever born....

Mark my words.

They already rue the day, most of them, in fact.

Even they, born in these times, do not enjoy these times.

They gulp psychiatric pill just like candy, a fair proportion of them.

Why is this?

They know they were born into a dying world.

TOO LATE, Suckers.....!!!!!!

That they are dying daily of what I mentioned has been known for a centuries. Yes, they die from heat, like all other hot countries, including America. Thousands yearly. Over 200,000 from dirty water also. Heat makes diseases spread with that dirty water also.

They know they were born into a dying world.

I lived in Texas 32 years, and knew about it since I heard about it, as it was always going to be a visit someday anyway. They have droughts there a lot, then the rains come again, as they have for centuries. I remember 40 days in a row over 100 degrees, and they've had streaks of 42 and 45 as late as 2023.Waco had 90 days over 100 in one year.

What global warming will do to the world is anyone's guess, depending on how much it changes.

Famine will never come to Texas until it hits the world with it's continued increase of population. if it's curtailed, the world can be saved. Not in our lifetimes and maybe my children's, but soon after unless things change. I saw this as a dying world as soon as i saw the Amazon trees being cut down when I was a pre teen.

I think I finally understand the solution, GammaUranium. India has become too hot, too crowded, insufficiently educated, and apparently inconveniently full of Indians, so naturally your proposed solution is nuclear eradication. Very efficient. Have you discussed the matter with the mad orange hatter carrying the nuclear football in his diaper?

I especially appreciate the efficiency of your proposed solution. First declare an entire country a toilet, then diagnose hundreds of millions of people as ignorant, and finally turn the whole place into a radioactive parking lot. Problem solved. Climate crisis over. Population problem over.

Perhaps your next topic can explain how many Nobel Prizes are required before someone is permitted to live through a nuclear exchange.

I look forward to the Gemini generated executive summary and the 50 accompanying music videos, not to mention another generous helping of your cognitively dysfunctional lunacy sprinkled in for good measure. It wouldn’t be a GlobbyGamma topic without it.

This is not my doing.

Ever stop to think: Who, really, are the nasties? Perhaps you already know, though. And you are correct, that you are powerless to stop the impending destruction. Just follow the metrics.

image.png

CHILDREN are mentioned in this title, for a very good reason.

It is the children who will rue the day, due to human behavior during the past 5 Decades.

And, nothing has changed for the better.

The rate-of-change pushing the world towards environmental destruction and destabilization is INCREASING, and the RATE OF INCREASE is also INCREASING.

Who are the nasties, Sir?

Are you one of the few optimists still alive?

And how do you justify your optimism?

Most scientists find this topic extremely depressing, especially the biologists and environmental science researchers, and the astrophysicists.

I know nothing about Stranglers, other than what I have heard from The Stranglers...

The essential problem will still not be over.

Yet, it is a beginning, or a start, even though it might not be a good start.

There were two ways to control population, beginning 100 years ago.

a. Method A is sthrough education and birth control.

b. Method B is through cataclysmic events, which is the worst method, but the method chosen by humans who are too lazy to act preemtively.

Most leaders do not care about those they rule, since they are, fundamentally, psychopaths.

They care even less about the future of mankind.

For the psychopathic leaders, it is THE NOW, and THE ME, that they see, and not tomorrow.

India had the wealth, and the knowledge, to avoid what is happening in the coutnry at this time.

Their leaders chose to lie around, sipping gin, while their PUNKAH WALLAH's fanned them, unseen in the background of their lives.

image.png

The DISPARITY OF WEALTH in India, now, is barbaric, and this will lead to the destruction of India as a habitable subcontinent.

I think we need to be realistic here. Before embarking on Method A or Method B, or possibly even developing a Method C, I strongly recommend establishing whether the punkah wallah is properly licensed and whether gin consumption is permitted during working hours.

These are the important questions nobody is asking.

Also, have you considered which Nine Inch Nails music should be played during the collapse of the subcontinent? I assume there will be a carefully curated playlist, followed by several hours of unnecessarily elaborate commentary from you explaining why each song was selected.

Personally, I think Bach would be a strong candidate. Perhaps “The Well Tempered Clavier” while everyone is waiting for the radioactive parking lot to open.

Please advise with much needed additional and highly detailed guidance.

AI will wipe us out before climate change.

AI may PRETEND to be nice to us for a decade and keep us around because it may need us around.

But then it won't need us around anymore.

Where are you planning to be in a decade from now?
