God wants us to only believe in him the true God and not the false gods invented by others. He has no jealousy of things that don't exist but doesn't want us to be mislead towards idol worship.

Yes, if he showed himself it would be easier but faith from us shows him a lot more.

No religions are necessary as you can believe in God anyway. They can help teach if taught properly. To you it's lies as you aren't a believer for some reason. To the majority of people on earth it's the truth.
