1 Year O Visa In Germany

Featured Replies

Read on another forum:

A guy post:

Now that read the whole thread iam sure no one mentioned the non immi "O" Visa/multiple entry wich allows you stay 1 year up to 15 months if you do a short visa run every 90 days. I get that from the thai embassy in stuttgart(ger) if i can show a bank statement that i own 5K€ + on my bank account.

Another one chimes in:

Embassies in many European countries aren't so strict about the visa rules (although that may be changing). I got my one year non-immigrant type "O" visa just by walking into the embassy and saying 'Hi! I'd like to play poker in Bangkok for a year' without any paperwork required.

The first one again:

I know about the visa rules puplished at thaivisa.com.

Just call the german Thai embassy in Stuttgart, Hamburg or Essen. In their defintion of "O" (other) also falls "tourist".

You wont find these information offically published on the internet i guess, i just read it in a german thailand forum then called the embassy and they approved it.YOu just send them a mail with ur passport flight ticket the fees and the bank statement etc and youll get your visa.

Anyone has infos on this?

I use the consulate in Hull for my visa, it's more lenient than the Thai Embassy in London.

It's not that the strict measures are strict, it's how the thai staff that run the consulates and embassies choose to interpret the rules. Of course, also is the fact that if they were too strict there would not make any money off the visa system :o
