Hi guys,

we will be applying for a settlement visa in October and was wondering if we could do so if my gf/soon to be wife still holds a valid tourist visa.

Her tourist visa will expire at the end of November, and we are wanting to apply for the settlement visa in mid October for her to come to the UK in December/January.

Is this possible?

Yes you can. It would be wise if you intend to apply in October to defer the start date of the visa (you can have it post dated up to 3 months) until close to the date you intend to travel as it will benefit you when your wife applies for ILR.

Cheers guys. As with the tourist visa, we plan for her to arrive in the UK as close as possible to the visa start date, all being that we are succesfull :o
