There's not any official Warranty in Thailand for XBox 360! All waranties given by suppliers in Thailand just warranty from that Supplier!

I searched high and low for a non-chipped 360 and couldnt find one. In the end I flew to Singapore for the day, and brought a 360 Elite (120Gb HDD and HDMI leads) for 16,000 Baht. This is not quite as crazy as it sounds.

The same model has only just arrived here in the LOS and the only place that had them, a shop in fortune that I bugged for months, called me last Monday after I got back from SG and told me that they had unchipped 360 Elites available for 29,000 Baht.

The return flight to SG cost Baht 6,500

Question....... I have HDMI on my TV, but is there really a visual difference with that versus component ?

I personally think so. I found that the colours seem to be richer and the image to be a little sharper with HDMI than with the component cables. This is my experience with my DVD player too.

I am not an expert mind you and I gather that this is subject to some serious debate online, the answer its seems is not clear cut. The only major "downside" perhaps is that you are not supposed to be able to use pirated media via HDMI (although for some reason DVD's from Fortune seem to be working fine on my HDMI DVD player)

HDMI vs DVI vs Component cables

For audio however, I continue to use fiber optic cable to the input on my 5.1 channel home theatre system.

I am sure others in the industry who post here like Ben etc maybe able to shed more light on this.

Sure I got the Elite from replying to an Ebay Singapore ad and picked it up from a place in Yishun, not sure if they have any left now though, actually just checked and they have a new a package with an extra controller. Dont think links would be appropriate but there is only one SG based seller on ebay and thats the same place I brought mine from.
