i recently bought a new laptop and have copied all the progrmas from my old laptop. the problem i am having is that one program i use, ares ultra (used to be kazaa), for downloading seems to crash the computer every now and again. my new laptop has vista and i am using max net. i used the laptop today without are ultra and it worked fine. does anyine have any ideas?

Asking for info on illegally obtaining something is one thing but it's getting a bit heavy handed to start stomping on people answering a technical question regarding a legal program with legal uses. In fact the only way to obtain a lot of royalty free music and independent video productions is via bittorrent because that's how they're distributed. I think you are out of place sending people warning messages Reimer.

Reimar, dude, listen to Vic.

There's been enough moderation on here without us lot jumping on the bandwagon.

There're plenty of perfectly legal torrent programs and legal download methods.
