TWO THIEVES SNATCH LADY's BAG AND SHOOT ON HER RIGHT SHOULDER

A lady staff of Bangkok Pattaya hospital was a victim of two thieves while she was riding a motorbike to go back home in an isolated Soi. The thieves tried to snatch her bag. She resisted and was shot on her right shoulder.

On 8 September 2007, at 01.30 AM. Pol.Sub.Lt. Prasit Lekdee, Banglamung, rushed to investigate a case of a woman who had her bag snatched and was shot in front of Moo Baan Kwanthip, Soi Khaonoi.

At the incident, police found a motorbike fell over and amount of blood on the street. The injured woman who was the owner of the motorbike had been transferred to Bangkok Pattaya hospital before the police arrived.

Police immediately went the hospital to see the injured woman. She was Miss Alisa Boongub, (24) who works in Marketing department of Bangkok Pattaya hospital. She was shot and severely injured on her right shoulder and had many scrapes on her face and body.

Mr. Somsak Saowapak (30) who was a witness and the one who took Miss Alisa to the hospital told police that he heard a screaming noise of woman and saw Miss Alisa who was on her motorbike had two guys on a black and white Honda, Wave, tried to snatch her bag. The guy on the back seat of motorbike had a gun in one hand and the other hand tried to snatch the bag.

Miss Alisa attempted to resist and rode her motorbike away then she lost control and fell over. The thieves saw that they could not get the bag, then shot Miss Alisa and rode away heading to Wat Boon Samphan, Soi Khao Talo. Mr. Somsak and his friend who were drinking did not dare to follow the thieves.

But he suddenly took Miss Alisa who was still conscious but severely injured by being shot on the right shoulder to Bangkok Pattaya hospital and immediately informed police. Police cooperated with other police in the area but could not find the thieves.

Miss Alisa's cousin came to visit her in the hospital and also told police that two years ago Miss Alisa was attacked before in the same Soi. However, Miss Alisa's cousin had requested the authority to provide more street lights in the Soi as it is isolated and very dark at night in order to prevent more crime.

I have just moved from that soi ,it is awful,very dangerous at night, a lot goes unreported there too,.
