Hi everyone,

Nothing's concrete but I would like to take my family to England next year for a holiday. I've just read Jared's recent post along similar lines (congratulations Jared if you are reading this), so here's my situation:

I've been living here for three years now, currently on my third O visa extension. Married for two years and have a beautiful three month old son. My wife's eight year old son also lives with us. Neither of us have jobs here, the house is in my wife's name which she owns outright. I usually have several hundred thousand baht in the bank living expenses, my wife's account is zero. We would be staying with my sister in england so getting a letter of invitation from her is no problem, I can provide evidence of adequate funds for the trip.

Don't know if I've missed anything or not but based on that information are we likely to encounter any problems obtaining a visa for my wife and her son?

Many thanks,

SL.

Make a joint application (One application form each person) and a single sponsorship letter from you and your sister( your sister will have to prove the means to accomodate you and probably you the means to support everyone during the trip). The forms will cross reference that they are all travelling together. Use the links given to Jared and the tips given. As neither of you work you will have to work on the reason to return to Thailand but the fact that your stepson will be attending school in Thailand will help him. You must try to prove both you and your wife are based in Thailand.
