Overseas Voip Providers Vs Local Providers

Featured Replies

Today's Database section of the Bangkok Post has a very interesting article on using VoIP and worth a read as it shows the "power" of VoIP. Unfortunately all the providers mentioned in that article are based outside of Thailand.

You can read that article here : http://www.bangkokpost.com/Database/19Sep2007_data14.php

For a list of providers in Thailand check out this blog : http://voipthai.blogspot.com/

Anyone using overseas VoIP providers ? Hows the service ? Quality ?

How does this compare to local providers ? Any ideas ?

Im using Pfingo.com now. There is a free trial use now and you can try its quality. This service is from Singapore and the quality is great. I use it to call back to Singapore, Malaysia, China, USA and Holland. I'm on TOT Cybergold (2mb) and connection has been good so far.

There is also SMS service which your friends can reply when you send. I think this will become even hotter than SKYPE in the near future. It also allow you to SEND/RECEIVE FAX, forward calls to your mobile phone.
