Cheap Car / Truck Rental

Featured Replies

Freind of mine in patters wants a car/ truck to rent.

6,500 - 10,000 a month long term rent

clean and presentable is all thats needed , no need to be new , make model not important. truck prefered

anyone any ideas ?

6,500 is really what he wants to spend

cheers

gonna struggle in phuket for 6,500 10 is possible , whats it like in patters guys?

Well, I have a truck I'm trying to rent for a friend, but at that price (even 10,000) I'm sure he'd say no. This is for a 5-year old 4-door Mitsubishi pickup.

mmmm, well im not sure but pretty certain that a honda vios can be obtained here in phuket for 10k long term. Just guessing but would of thought that as a pick up is considerably less to buy than a car they would be cheaper ? but then again this los..

Vios is Toyota and is not a pickup as far as I know, and Honda has no pickup that I'm aware of.

Perhaps you're thinking of the Nissan NV, which is a small pickup. You might be able find one of those for 10,000 a month, but I've never seen one for rent. I've heard of people renting stuff for 10,000, but usually it was a 10+ year old sedan.

Wrong guess. Look at the amount of pickup trucks on the roads around Pattaya... almost like Texas! Also most pickups come loaded with all the amenities of a sedan so they aint a helluva lot cheaper and hold their resale value as well.

Your buddy may get an old banger for that price but I would be surprised if he gets that kind of deal from any of the local rental outlets.

Short-term rentals are from 1,000 baht per day - so I cannot see anything under 18-20k per month being offered - especially as we are now headding towards high season.

He would be better looking at a loan from the bank to buy a truck, if he is here long term.

Again much more than 10k a month for a decent truck, but he would have something of value at the end of the purchase period.

From a local rental agency :

and to think a few years back , (in the uk ) i was renting a chrysler crossfire on contract lease for 199 quid a month !

alls not cheap in the los

looks like he may be baht busing a bit longer then ..?

A hundred quid a month for a truck or car in Pattaya ? ROTFLMAO !

Remember also that if it is a guy in the pub renting his truck out, then though he may have 1st class comprehensive insurance for any driver, it will be invalid if they find out you have rented the truck and not just borrowed it.

Go to a company like Q-Cars and see Jon. You're legit and he has some bargains as well.
