What's Best Video Editing Software For Hd

Featured Replies

Hi,

We've got a Sony SR82 HD camera and are looking for the best/easiest to use home editing software. Any ideas?

Cheers

I use Pinnacle Studio which I bought for a couple of hundred baht in Tuk Com in Pattaya - I imagine similar software is available in similar places elsewhere.

When this program was introduced it was fraught with problems and consequently got a bad name - take a look at some of the comments on-line! But they have now been ironed out in the latest version, Studio 11. Even with Studio 10, the original, they produced a patch which easily solved the problems. I'm no computer expert but I had no problem installing it.

I fine the system amazingly user-friendly and the quality of the output is incredible. People who saw even my first efforts at video couldn't believe how professional it appeared. It has everything - transitions, sounds, music, etc and using them is child's play.

Incidentally, should you decide to get it, and want a good book on how to get the best out of it - I can let you have one for free. My copy from Amazon got lost so they sent me a new one. Then 5 months later the first one turned up and Amazon told me to keep it or give it to a library!
