Lekima Floods

Featured Replies

Has anyone heard anything on the flooding from Lekima? Word from the village was that things were pretty bad, several meters of flooding in places, roads closed, schools closed, houses damaged or destroyed, etc. My house is ok, but luckily we're a meter or two above most areas. But a lot of friends and relatives houses were damaged or destroyed. Some of my girl's relatives have moved in temporarily. They were hit pretty hard. Fortunately we have plenty of space and means to help them out. I'm still waiting for some pictures. Does anyone know if the flood waters are receding or have receded enough for people to start getting back to normal?
