There are busses that go from the bus terminal on Pattaya Klang to Korn Kaen and all parts Issan. They are a VIP service. Talk to the folk at the window marked Mudharhan (the last window). The first one leaves at 7:30am and the last at 8:30pm.

If their schedle does not suit you there is the Issan Terminal near the end ofPattaya Klang as described above.

Where is the bus terminal in Pattaya Klang? Never seen one and I've lived here 4.5 years!

Back of the Q8 gas station on Sukhumvit road 50m north of Central Pattaya road.

On the top of Pattaya Klang turn RIGHT, towards Pattaya Tai. About 100 mtr on the left is a large bus terminal for the VIP buses to Sisaket and other places in that area. Check there for a bus to your destination. Most comfortable buses out of Pattaya!

OK that one I know. But he said "on Pattaya Klang", that to me mean Central Pattaya Road!

Sorry I meant Pattaya Nua, sorry the brain was a little soft this morning. I meant the usual Bangkok bus terminal.

There are buses that go to and from the wilds of Issan from there. The yellow one with the black stripe, run by the Rong Reuan (spelling?) company, the same mob who operate the Bangkok Pattaya buses. My girl friend comes from Yassothon most weekends on these things to visit me.

I think that's a Petronas gas station now, no?

If your back simply cannot handle that amount of bus, the nearest airport is of course U-Tapao. I just booked a flight at 1 day's notice for 2,300 including bags. Knock 500 off that if you book 3 weeks in advance. A Grab from Jomtien to the airport is 700. So 3,000 baht for a chauffeur to the airport and a 1 hour flight with a meal, leave 13:00 and in Udon for 5pm. Or 2,000 baht if you book early and can work out the bus at this end.

Yeah 11 years later not sure he would still be interested. Lol. AND you can fly direct from utapao straight to Udon with air Asia for about 1500 baht

Don't think the plane option was available in 2007.

this sites SEO is outstanding, that's just so funny.

you cant get a 1,500 flight at no notice even in low season.

I guess I should advise everyone that 2,500 baht for a visa run at 6am doesnt really compare to hiring a cab all day for 2,000 baht.
