Interesting post from mostly moderators regarding the paedo case and news updates in news section. Then wham! Topic closed. Thoroughly confused.

These topics are usually locked and posting is limited to certain groups (Mods).

The reason is simply that they tend to degenerate very rapidly into slanging matches totally masking the actual point of the thread.

Members have been wondering why this topic remains closed. Experience has shown that topics on paedophilia go downhill very quickly and become a nightmare to moderate. An avalanche of off-topic posts makes it difficult to find the important news reports. Therefore, it is best for all concerned to keep such topics closed.
