nikster Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Apparently a Nazi paegant happened at Thewphaingarm school - 200 kids in full Nazi regalia seemingly celebrating ... well the Nazis. http://tjmainline.blogspot.com/2007/09/naz...-school-in.html The Wiesenthal Centre has protested and the teacher in charge was fired but... can someone explain what this is all about? I got used to seeing people running around with swastikas, thinking that well, the indian symbol for the sun is over 2000 years old and very well known in all of Asia, long before the Nazis made it their symbol. And I still think this is the case. But - how did they get the idea to play out some Nazi fun?! Do Thais just don't know anything about that time, or don't care, or have a distorted view of history there? Thanks for any explanations
