American tourist dies apparently of generic Viagra overdose

PATTAYA: -- An American tourist died while having sex with a Thai bar girl in this seaside resort town late Sunday night, police said.

The bar girl told police that Ronald Kipu, 58, took three pills of Kamagra before having sex with her.

She filed complaints with police at 12:30 am that the man collapsed and stopped breathing while having sex with her in his room on the sixth floor of New Star Apartment in Chon Buri's Bang Lamung district.

Kipu just arrived at Pattaya Sunday afternoon and took her to his apartment from a bar in the evening, she said.

Police said there was no trace of fighting or assaulting on the man.

Police found a four-pill pack of Kamagra wit just one pill left.

The mans' body was sent for an autopsy.

Unless you’re old and about to have a heart attack anyway is it actually possible to overdose from just taking 3 pills?

viagra lowers blood pressure, so one can assume taking more than prescribed dose can't be good for u. One has to assume the lad died from other reasons in conjunction with the viagra overdose.

A rather unfortunate terminology there, conjures up thought along the lines of "he didn't pay me".

Still poor lass, can't be a very pleasant experience having your John croak on you.

Guess the poor chap couldn't wait for the prescribed 1hour wait for the stuff to take effect, gambling instead on a much higher dossage for faster effect. Poor man. At least he died with a smile on his face, eh. What a way to go though .

Yes, I guess it makes sense that the poor dead punter thought that taking triple the dose (many people take 1/4 of one pill and do fine) would speed up the action. Or maybe he had eaten a fatty meal and thought he needed a big dose to cut through the grease. I don't doubt this was accidental, but the detail that has me wondering, is how did the girl know he took 3 pills? Just because there was one left in a four pack means absolutely nothing. It seems odd to me that the punter would have been so open about taking a massive dose (or even a small dose).

i thought kumagra was a gel, not a pill? perhaps not entirely relevant to why the gentleman died, but thought i would ask the question anyway.

That looks like a pack of 50 mg tablets. A 150 mg dose is well within the average persons tolerance...however many people have contraindications and should not use viagra in any dose.

As one other mentioned, having a 4 pack with one left is no proof he took 3. He may have used some on another occasion.

Don't know much about Kamagra - except that it's a copy-drug made in India.

About four years ago I took half of one pill of Viagra (about a 100mg dose, I believe).

I had severe speeding up of the heart about an hour later and would never consider taking any more.

If the doctor doesn't prescribe it, don't take it. Applies to any chemical with claimed medical qualities

If they are copies then this is a dodgy situation anyway as there are many health / life threatening side effects that can occur.

Nothing wrong with generic Viagra made in India which is called Kamagra. Its a generic, same active ingredient, just like many other generics. I would be more wary of Viagra labeled pills, much more likely to be illegal copies as they cost more, more incentive.
