Just wondering if anyone here is into this kind of thing. I've just gone digital, Canon D350, and am now getting used to it. I'll never go back to film, should've done this a long time ago...

is that the Horsehead Nebula in your first pic ? and did you take it/with what equiptment ?

i don't do much 'scope aided astro photography.. star trails & wide angles these days, but i did use to build my own Newtonian's in the past.

The first pic is M42 in Orion. That was a 30sec. exposure prime focus thru my 8" Newt. With Canon D350 ISO 1600.

The other is M8 The Lagoon Nebula. That is about 40 - 20s. exposures. D350 ISO 1600. Stacked in Deep Sky Stacker and processed in Photoshop.
