November 6, 200718 yr I read a very interesting post on here not so long ago about the overstay process in Thailand, with a very detailed description on the length of time someone spends in detention and also the conditions. Does anyone have any information on the Cambodian process, not too worried about the $5 a day stuff, more longterm overstay ( what would be classed as longterm?), and conditions one would be kept in and time frame of deportation. Before anyone asks, no it's not for me, I am simply conducting a study. Many thanks in advance,

Many thanks in advance, i can only comment on the conditions in which one is held pending deportation. you will be deprived of your cell phone and held incommunicado. the holding cell is typical with bare floors and a squat toilet. food is purchased from the guard who goes across the street to buy it and takes a significant cut for his efforts. do not expect to be treated badly, nor well. with forbearance and disregard best summarize the treatment. do not expect to get any kind of special treatment or consideration. what hey have written on the forms that entitle them to detain you will guide their actions. it is as simple as that.
