Hi all

Su my wife had the call from Regent House today saying she has to go for the dreaded interview at the British embassy in about 4 weeks.

All the documents we submitted were spot on so any ideas why the interview is needed. Also does this mean we will fail?

And any ideas of the types of questions they will grill her with?

many thanks

It's not necessarily the knock back. Unless there is something specific within the application that the visa officer has picked up upon, the interviewing officer will expect to see that your wife has a sound knowledge of you, your family, your circumstances in the UK, your likes/dislikes etc.

Scouse.

Ne,

how much does your Mrs know about your family?

Do not take this lightly. My Mrs got a grilling on it when she came 2 years ago. Name of my brother, sister, mother, father, what they do for a living. Any nephews etc. etc. It's a joke really, cos at the time my mrs hadn't met my family cos she had never had a visa. Yet i had met her family at least 5 or 6 times and i still don't know their names etc. Brother number 1,2,3, mama and papa is all i can ever remember.

Also, tell your Mrs to be honest. Good luck.

One more thing if granted can she travel to UK on one way ticket?

Presumably NE, if it is a settlement visa, there is no requirement to return, so one way will be fine.
