eek Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Have some top notch Hair Irons/Straighteners, but sadly after a years use (miss use!) the cable has split slightly and the exposed wiring made sparks. Would like to have the wiring replaced, but obviously by a reputable electrician/company. I really dont want something that comes that close to my face badly wired. Nor have my hair singed! I would like them repaired if possible as they cost a small fortune. Can anyone please recommend a qualified reputable repair company to fix them?
Ta22 Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Throw it away and go to the local market , those made in china hair iron , even my GF is using is selling for like 299 baht new . or is it 199 baht , good luck .. if you need direction where to buy , try looking at local market place at warorot . market after 9pm , i recall seeing one road side store selling it .. some is great bargain . or if you doing a visa run .. go across burma and get one should cost you about the same also .. not 50 usd . but 199 baht - 299 baht i think
eek Posted November 9, 2007 Author Posted November 9, 2007 Well they are Sedu Ceramic Tourmaline Irons and cost me $125, so yeh, i would rather have the wire replaced. I dont even think they are available here tbh.

Donnyboy Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 go to ICON PLAZAi is call " ALMOND " ( sound like ) Amorn - may be able to do it. If not you can bring it to our lab if you can't find anyone. We're well equipped to do it. theres another branch at the carrefour shopping centre, ground level in the carpark, next to the ceramic bowls and plates et al. better parking there as the parling at icon is very limited at the best of times
p1p Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Better than Amorn for most electrical repairs is Electronic Plaza/Siam TV. Their repair centre is next to the UBC office facing the side entrance to the plaza.
