Google for it and you find much more than you can ever use!!

Ya found a bunch of stuff through google but its not very good, was hoping there was a magical site that had the top programs all listed instead of tons and tons of crap.

You install the "installer" application (which is installed standard on unlocked phones anyway).

Then you search through hundreds of apps, install what you like to try out. Just use the iPhone via WiFi to search for apps.

But install SummerBoard first, that allows you to have multiple start screens, and does it in an entirely unintrusive, elegant way.
