Featured Replies

i've just moved to thailand from london and i'm looking to get some basic contents/fire insurance...

i'm in a 1 bed apartment in ladprao...how much should i look to be paying? i dont need exact figures - just something approx please!

Would be a great help so i dont get ripped off.

thanks

Danny

Contents (not building insurance) about 1,000 baht for 200,000 of cover, but most companies have a minimum premium of 2,500-3,000 baht

Try http://www.nzi.co.th/eng/Default.aspx for an online quote - make up the contact details.

Welcome to Thailand. To save getting “ripped off” always use a reputable Broker as they can help you through the minefield if ‘insurance talk’. It is not sensible to go direct to an insurance company as you do not save any money and all you get is a one sided view (they are hardly likely to explain the other insurance companies products !)

Suggest asking for a quotation from Thai Visa Insurance – easy and you don’t have to get out of your chair :o
