I've known my girlfriend for 4 years. I met her in January 2004 and since then have visited 6 more times and also lived in Bangkok for 2 years straight on Non-O visas.

I came back to the UK in July to work and rather than me go back for another visit, she's decided she would like to come across here for about 10 days in March 2008. She has met some of my family already in Thailand, but this would be a chance for her to meet some other family members and also to see some of the UK (she has never left Thailand before).

She works for a government ministry (office job) and has had the same job for over 4 years. They will give her a letter regarding the leave etc.

I'll have to sponsor her for the trip, so I was going to provide the following docs to submit with her application;

  • Full copy of current passport (2.5 years) (+ entry stamps from previous one).
  • Copy front sheet for the lease of the apartment I am currently renting in the UK.
  • Copy utility bill from UK address
  • Copy bank statement (8000 GBP in own savings a/c to cover trip costs)

I have some other cash accounts in the UK, in Bonds and ISAs (about 20K total) should I provide copies of these also? will 8K be sufficient to show for 10 days?

anything else i might have missed? should the application be OK?

thank you very much.

Perhaps provide evidence of your relationship for the four years since its inception, but other than that, you seem to have it all covered: she's in a good job, is only staying 10 days and there are sufficient funds to meet the cost of the trip.

Scouse.
