I am sure that I have read somewhere that you can get a 12 hour permission to stay in Thailand when you have a stopover between flights. This gives you time for a city tour and a meal. I have searched the thaivisa and immigration sites and have not found anything. Can anyone advise please?

Sounds like a transit (visa?) for nationalities who are not entitled to 30 days on arrival.

This is (was?) only for travellers who get a visa-exemption (30 day stamp).

If visa upon arrival required, must get this b4. Airport service charge waived.
