I don't think there is any violation of rules as long as credit is given to the author and/or the link to the original article is posted.

The TV news team keeps on posting articles published by the BKK Post, Nation etc., are they breaking their own rules? I very much doubt it.

The posts this topic is all about are mostly public announcements and the persons posting them are only tying to help in disseminating the info to a wider audience.

Giving a byline (or adding a link) to an author or publication makes no difference (in law). Copying a substantial part of a story is a violation of copyright (in Thailand, in the UK and in the US). It's against TV rules too (Rule 6: You agree not to post any copyrighted material).

I have heard that TV has an arrangement with The Nation. If this is true (and I have no reason to believe that it isn't) there is no problem with posts containing Nation stories (if that's what the agreement is, I have no knowledge of its contents).

I'm sorry, the statement "are they breaking their own rules? I very much doubt it" sounds a little naive to me. Posts that infringe other people's copyright may well be trying to help, but they are still infringing other people's copyright, breaking the law ... with all that implies ... and breaking Rule 6.

The way to help people, disseminate information and stay legal is something like this:

Hey everybody, there's a useful and interesting story at interesting_story.com you may be interested in ...

Microsoft to make working operating system and give it away free.

Yesterday Microsoft announced that it will give away a bug-free OS to anyone who asks for it. The new OS will be available to download from next week. Mr Gates also said he would like to buy everyone in the world a beer ...

Not my problem and from my site the "private" arena is ok! But how to do if the other party just startup something but NOT finishing? And again: I don't like lie's and I would go against them at all times!

I don't like lies either, but I think you might be misunderstanding how things happended. Let me see if I can clear things up a bit:

1. Firefoxx privately contacted you regarding your posts.
   
2. You didn't agree with eachother and he chose to ignore you
   
3. You then inappropriately made the situation public in this post HERE.
   
4. Thinking that Firefoxx had seen what you wrote, I told him how I felt about that.
   
5. Firefoxx then knew that you were using his name and discussing his private messages and added his comment here.
   

Thus, when he made the comment "I don't know where he "published" my name, and since I have him on "ignore", I'll probably never know." he was speaking the truth.

No lying, no deceit. And no need to start spreading accusations about other TV members

may you take a look at topic 1395409 and compare with the Red and Blue signed, then compare the Date of the topic 1395409 and my post's and after that start thinking again!
