Sorry if this has already been done but a quick look i found no answers.

When i was home last i could not open hotmail and there were plenty of other people with similar problems. I am now at work in Saudi and hoped it would all be ok, but the problem persisted. All i would see it the http address changing in a repetitive cycle.

I was bored yesterday and tried messing with the address. I typed...

https://login.live.com/

and this brought me to an account options page. I signed out then typed the address again. Straight into hotmail with no problems.

Hope this works for anyone else struggling.

(thankfully hotmail is an emergency backup only, gmail is the way to go!)
