Featured Replies

ive got a speedtouch adsl modem so 192.168.1.1. goes to its setup page. how do i get to my linksys page? i cant connect to the net using my router at all so it seems impossible. i need to set my PPPoE settings for my wifi to work and i must access the routers page.

You can access it from your browser, just type in http:// and then the IP address of your browser: 192.168.1.1 in the browser address bar :o

Connect DIRECTLY to the LinkSys router (not the modem) and do what SBK suggested. If you cannot get to the LinkSys login page at that point, try typing "IPCONFIG /release" then hit [ENTER] and then "IPCONFIG /renew" then hit [ENTER] and then try accessing the LinkSys login webpage.

1- Disconnect all cables from everything

2 - Plug in the Linksys (power)

3 - Use the ethernet cable to connect your computer to the Linksys

Then, change the linksys' IP address to 192.168.1.2, then reconnect everything.

Alternatively - log in to your speedstar modem and change its IP to 192.168.1.2, restart the modem, after that you should be able to see the linksys at its default location of 192.168.1.1

Short story is all your devices need to have unique addresses on the network. They also all need to be in the same subnet, e.g. all need to be on 192.168.1.x
