Is that taxing remitted pensions in Thailand, or Australia taxing pensions at non resident tax rates?

Do you have a link to the youtube video?

Digging holes in 50 degree heat, in the hope of finding some opal, is not what I would describe as a happy retirement.

I sit back and let my money do the work.  I suppose some still have to drive a Cat D9 dozer in 50 degree heat.

Now, getting back on topic, do you declare any money earned from selling opal to Centerlink?

What a disgusting "smart Alec" comment!

You should be ashamed of yourself for that comment!

Why?

If someone has worked in the cash economy all their working life, thus, never paid any tax towards roads, school, hospitals etc, hence, no Superannuation, that's their own fault.

Similarly, if someone has p*ssed away their life savings and have to keep working into their 70's, that's on them.

Then, you have those that have lost their life savings to a Thai women because, "my girl is different" and they go home broke and end up living on a Centerlink pension, that's also on them.

Superannuation was implemented in 1992.  Most retirees should have something in their super account.  If they haven't, who's fault is that?

$hit your dummer than I ever imagined, declare parcels of plunder, too funny! ATO installed a tax man in a residence in Coober many moons ago, new above ground family home, he lasted a monthmax. His welcome by local miners was explosive !! 🎉

So, you are a tax dodger.

No opal in Thailand though.

I'm retired.  I live in Thailand, and don't work.

So, not only are you a tax dodger and Centerlink fraudster, you are also an international gold and gem smuggler.

Some people have to commit crimes to keep their Thailand dream alive.

Moving rocks in the Australia outback is not my idea of a happy retirement.

Back on topic, you can't have much super if you are on a full pension.

https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/reporting-fraud?context=64107

This is the number to call to report Centerlink fraud.

Read more about reporting fraud.

Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm

People should report you to the ATO for renting your house in Australia to a friend for cash and not claiming it as income on your tax (fraud you admitted to in this thread). This is huge fraud because you are not only avoiding tax on the income but also the significant capital gains tax implications when you sell

Since you also keep saying ATO has brlliant automatic tracking of all of us, I'm sure the ATO will be able to track who you are by your online activities should someone hopefully report you...
