Possible To Modify The Icon Next To The Msg Date...

Featured Replies

On ThaiVisa.com there is a shaded line at the top of each message containing the poster's name, the date posted, and the post # in the thread. In front of the date posted is a small icon shaped like a dog-eared sheet of paper.

Some forums I read have a similar dog-eared-sheet-of-paper on the subject line, but in different colors to indicate whether that message were previously read or not. Is it possible to enhance the ThaiVisa.com software to do the same?

Now, the reason I ask:

Being in Thailand with the sluggishness of internet access, all the external site references in the HTML coding of a forum page sometimes take seemingly forever to complete, and in some cases stall totally requiring a page refresh. By "external site references" I mean like: www.yceml.net, asianfriendfinder.com, stats.big-boards.com, photos.pop6.com, and widgetbucks.com. Those are some of the sites I jotted down as stalling the load of a forum page.

Now, the "problem" (to me, it's a problem <g>) is that in essence, the entire usable page is loaded, but the page won't complete and auto-scroll to the first unread message, until access to all of the external site references is complete. I can scroll the page right down to the bottom, but cannot tell which message is the first unread message. If the icon were a different color for unread messages, I could manually scroll to that message and begin reading, while the background site accesses take their merry time to complete.

Any chance for my wish?
