It was a super little camera, with a 50mm f2.8 lens.

Later I purchased 28mm and a 135mm lenses to make up

a nice little outfit.

From the West side of the pond (Japan source) this Asahi Pentex was the breakthrough SLR and my first 35mm SLR (twin lens reflex and Fuji rangefinder up to then).

My first real camera wasn't an SLR but a Ricoh TLR courtesy of an uncle who owned a commercial studio and aerial mapping company.
