claffey Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Was just wondering if anyone could help me out? Im living in ireland with my thai wife and we want to go to london for a few days. Dont know whether to apply for a normal visitor visa or an EEA family permit. The vistor visa costs 90 euro but surely this should be free for a spouse of an EU citizen, just like it is for the schengen zone.. Have to say that the immigration websites for the UK are completely confusing and not user friendly. If its gonna be a lot of hassle we're just gonna go to a schengen zone country. Been to Finland and France already with no probs. Whatever happened to freedom of movement and directive 38 2004???? Thanks lads.....
the scouser Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Your wife may apply for a free family permit at the British embassy in Dublin. Scouse.
