I was shocked this morning when the missus said the late middle-aged couple who ran a mobile phone service,(3 baht per minute), in the bus terminal square in Ban Dung, Udon Thani, had been brutally murdered.

The lady used to sit outside their shop with a table and chair, near the mini market, she was always very pleasant, as was her husband. They were found upstairs, both dead with their throats slit. Presumably robbery was the motive. B*stards.

It was in yesterday's Thai Rath online I believe. I think the article said they believe it was because someone owed them money.

Unfortunately Thai Rath links don't work after one day.

I heard that the lady was quite a gambler, so perhaps someone owed her money from that. If she owed, then it wouldn't make sense to murder her.

On a completely irrelevant note, we had a tomcat arrive unannounced on our farm 2 years ago, driven to distraction by its constant whining for food we took it to the entrance of a temple 3 km away last week. Yesterday it turned up at the farm again.

I think I need to consult a medium to see if it was related to the wife in a previous life.
