Champs League Semi's

Featured Replies

Sadly I just can't see LFC doing it. If Chelsea produce the form shown on Saturday I can only see defeat for the Reds. Married with their home record at the Bridge I see us faced with an unassailable task.

But boy, do I hope I'm wrong!

The pressure all seems to be on Man U after Saturdays result. Mentally I believe they are fragile. Barcelona will score. I believe a score draw as the most likely outcome.

Chelsea v Barcelona Final?

What's your prediction?

Man Utd will beat Barcelona, in fact United often play better after a setback, and a kick up the ass at the weekend might just get them back on to be focused on what they need to do. United by 2 goals. I don't buy into United being fragile in mind, and with a bit more luck on Saturday they would have got the point that they deserved. I don't think Fergie will muck around with rotation for this one, and will pick a full strength team. Hopefuly he will go with Tevez and Rooney up front, Ronaldo and Giggs out wide with Anderson and Hargreaves in the middle. At the back Brown, Ferdinand, Vidic and Evra with any luck.

Liverpool v Chelsea, well Chelsea are very good at home, but Liverpool have a good record in the Champs league, although not so good in the EPL when it comes to playing the top teams. I reckon Chelsea will just sneak it, leaving a United v Chelsea final.

Either way, the EPL and the ECL are turning out to be fascinating.

I pray I get the other one wrong as well! :o

So doi I :D

The final is the last game this season for me going to bed for a few hours and getting up at 2 - at least I am not at work tomorrow but do have to catch a flight to Bangkok in the morning - is it even worth going to be now?

I would love to be able to have a bevvy while watching the final but really can not take any time off work so it will be sober alone in the house.

So now we're down to an all English final.

But, who do you think will win and why?

I'm inclined to suggest Chelsea on the strength of their recent win over MUFC and the possible psychological advantage that this may have for them. Conversely, they can be so erratic at times as they've demonstrated in some of their last few games.

Man U on the other hand have the "bonus" of SAF. He's been there and done it before. But does this really count?

So, I'm on the fence.

What about you guys?
