May 8, 200817 yr Greetings, Newbie here.... I will be starting the Visa process soon for my fiancee in Bangkok. I have read many comments that it is a waist of time and money to hire a lawyer. But what if a guy just wants to spend the money to have the lawyer do it...... Any really GOOD recommendations out there? If you have had a great experience with a lawyer and would like to refer them I am open to sugestions. Also, I read much on hear that leads me to think many guys avoid the K3 VISA like a heart attack.... Why is that? We plan to have a Thai wedding, not sure yet if we will register it or not, but I understand a K3 spousal is just as easy as a K1 fiancee. What am I missing here, can anyone enlighten me? Thanks so much for input and guidence , the best to all..!!! TommyThai
May 8, 200817 yr Do you live in Thailand? If you live in Thailand, not just here on a short visa, then you could get married and do a direct consular filing and that would probably be the fastest way.

May 8, 200817 yr If you wanted legal help with the visa, I would suggest an attorney in the US, not Thailand.
