May 14, 200817 yr Jet Airways seems to be trying to get a slice of the BKK-LHR market. The new BKK-Mumbai flights connects nicely with the Mumbai-LHR flight - just a couple of hours layover. Their aircraft are pretty new too. I've not experienced this airline before; I just know they're trying to target this sector. The prices (I looked for an end-of-year return over Christmas/New Year) are high at around 44,000 baht inc. taxes but it's another option, especially if they start to offer promotions. I hope this helps someone.
May 14, 200817 yr On Feb 16 they took delivery of their 10th B777/300ER, they have 3 more on order. Also took deleivery of 6th A330-200 on Feb 01, I don't know how many on order They also have 20 B737/800's on order. They built a hub in Brussels and fly Mumbai-BRU-Newark and New Dehli-BRU-Toronto. Rumors are they are top airline with suite style first class.
May 16, 200817 yr They have a good reputation and should not be confused with Air India. However, the stop in India would be offputting to me.
May 16, 200817 yr I flew jet delhi-bangkok a couple of weeks ago, and was really impressed with the plane, food and service.

May 25, 200817 yr Yeah Ovenman, that just about covers it!! Although, thankfully everyone had told me how bad it was going ot be, so when I got there and it was just dreadful, rather than completely terrible, I was almost pleasently surprised, esp as I was getting out of delhi, it was well worth it!! A lot of work seems to be going on there, so perhaps at some point it will be a little better, but I won't rush back to find out!!
