Featured Replies

comprehensive check-up at BUMRUNGRAD HOSPITAL

http://www.bumrungrad.com/en/packages/spec...up/ckup11-1.asp

I did it last year my first check-up in 25 years. ( I am 52 now)

So I am going to make it a yearly thing,

But what other things should I get checked ?

And is there a recommended doctor to ask for ?

Last time the doctor was OK, but his english was not very good.

thanks for your advise

they're all incompitent in the check-up area, if you ask me. I'm young and in decent health, but seriously....the machines they check things on, like the vision test are old, outdated. Must have been donated to them on some "Food for Medical Equipment" program with Germany or something....

Next time you go to Bumrungrad ask for...

Dr. Kris Chatamra

He speaks English fluently and one of the best doctors in Thailand. I heard he's one of the doctors of the Thai royal family..

So far.. I am satisfied with him and he's been my doctor here in Thailand for the last 4 years...

If you are 52 you should get checked for PSA - prostate-specific antigen. It's a marker for prostate cancer.

I never ask for a specific doctor and they give me a different one every time. If you do the check-up with ECG, you end up speaking to a heart specialist. When I do the basic check-up, I speak to a preventative medicine specialist. If there is a problem, I assume they'll refer you to the appropriate specialist.
