zab Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 Hey guys, I hope that someone can help me I'm in a bit of a spot. Right now I'm staying in Maha Sarakham, its lovely and I love it, but there are more buffalos than people, and It's not the best place for me or my wife to work! So - I need to find a reasonably priced place somewhere in BKK for our son and ouserlves. I've been looking all over the internet - I'm not really sure what the best websites actually are ( already looked on tv.classifieds ) I'm looking for no.1 townhouse no.2 - apartment no.3 condo I need somewhere that can be kid friendly i.e has a school or nursery nearby, and can provide me facilities for working (desk, chair and internet connection). Sadly I've not seen anything within my budget. I can afford around 15K a month at the minute. But depending on deposit requirements.. that may be less :| I'm coming to Bangkok in two days, (without the kid) But I intend to bring him over as soon as possible. Anyone got any ideas that can help me out ? Cheers & Thanks so much.

Last time I was in Bangkok I resided at Lumpini View, Sukhumvit 77 On Nut soi 3-5 there is a school right next to it and you can get a place there for around 15k with wireless internet. Cheers & Thanks so much. Sorry, read the above which I somehow included in your quote.

nick2k Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 when I want to find a new apartment, I check out the following websites.. http://www.9apartment.com http://www.click4apartment.com http://www.thaiapartment.com for 2 to 3 bedroom places, you will find the cheapest rents outside central bangkok like near the old airport. if you can do with a studio, the best selections are in around victory monument, prakanong, and rachada.
Wolfie Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Depending on your budget and length of stay, this site could be very useful to you also http://www.goldengateasia.com/
zab Posted May 21, 2008 Author Posted May 21, 2008 Depending on your budget and length of stay, this site could be very useful to you alsohttp://www.goldengateasia.com/ Thanks all for the links. I've been running around like god knows what looking at rooms today. Right now im sitting in central rama 2, while the girlfriend gets her hair done... we've been run ragged looking at rooms, but not alot suitable for working from. that's the real factor for me I need a place where I can work from, which for me hopefully has some attractions outside as spending 10hrs a day pounding at a keyboard to have nowhere to go can be a major bore..... yesterday we went to look at a really cool home in khlong sam (rangsit) 6k a month, it was 3bedroom, 2 bathroom, aircon and stuff. I really liked it, but it was a litle remote. However if I want a decent place for 10k and under, I'm going to have to diversify. Serviced apartments obviously aren't an option as I'm here for the long term..... some more links for ppl looking http://www.bkkroom.com http://www.ban4u.com http://www.pantipmarket.com/realestate/index.php they r all in thai, but are a good resouce . oh buddha .. please help me find a room soon!!!

Any preferred areas you want to live? You get nice 2-bedroooms apartments for 11-15 000 a month around Central Plaza Lad Prao (Chatujak area)
Wolfie Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 The place i rent right now is pretty good, 70sqm, 1 bedroom, serviced apartment just off Sathorn (PM me for exact address) - 15,000pcm. I know they also have some 2 bedroom apartments and at least one studio type also... might be worth speaking to them. I'm moving out at the end of this month, so i know they will have at least one unit available, but they probably have more.
