One motorcyclist killed in Bangkok pileup

BANGKOK: -- A pileup took place in the heart of Bangkok Sunday, killing a motorcyclist and injuring three other victims.

Anurak Boonmee, 41, died at the scene in Phra Nakhon district.

"I saw a mini bus speeding down the Pokklao Bridge and hit the motorcycle. The bus then dragged both the motorcycle and motorcyclist with it for a while," Taxi-driver Kaewdee Seenuanai said.

The accident involved the minibus, five taxis, four cars and two motorcycles.

With one death and three people injured, minibus driver Panakorn Phunsuk went on the run.

Is this new ThaiVisa policy to list every motor-cyclist killed on Thailands roads ?

A new way to assist in lowering the Thai Road Death - I guess anything is worth a try.

My condolences to the friends and families of the deceased and injured. I do hope something is done to bring the needless reckless driving under control.
