Jeeesus, what's this place coming to :o

You'd need a knife to get Kirgen down, he's a very fit young man... Means the bugger who did it came well prepared!

All the best, hope it doesn't interfere with his job!

Most likely caught him off guard - can't see him getting stabbed any other way.

Time for all those with claimed connections to the local Old Bill to make calls and push for justice.

Don't let this rest, he's one of our own here.

Kurgen has a punctured lung, the knife came very close to his heart, don't think it was damaged. First night in BP was 70K baht.

The other person is a local lawyer who told a very different story to the BIB. :o Kurgen will need some help here. :D

Bugger, the worst possible scenario, an adversary with all the connections to other colleagues, the coppers and the judges :D

Thanks, Chang Paarp. I just got off the phone with the hospital. He's out of the ICU now and is conscious. He can talk and eat. They're X-Raying him daily to check his lungs. Still bleeding.

Get well very soon, Frances!!

<deleted> is a lawyer doing with a knife in the first place? Get well quick Kurgen, it would appear your problems will escalate once you recover. I hope that someone on TV has bigger and better connections than the Thai lawyer. Good Luck mate!!

Really sorry to hear about this Kurgen I hope you have a full recovery.

I do recall raising the issue about dogs in our village and got a pm from a tv member advising me that the action I was planning could have serious consequences...well he wasn't wrong!

I would imagine that anyone who witnessed this has been 'put in their place' by now. But even at that how can anyone justify stabbing another person?

Why does the dog thing raise such serious issues?

A lawyer, unbelievable. On reading this yesterday I didn't at any point imagine a lawyer would be the stabber.

Get well soon Kurgen!

Maybe you need a bigger dog? :o

So what we are saying is that with it being a lung job and close to the heart, it was not a slash and be careful job, it was actual attempted murder. Who the <deleted> would want to harm Frankie Baby?

A lawyer ! armed with a knife !

Well I suppose we should be thankful it wasn't a copper with a gun.

All the best Kurgen, hope you have a full recovery and that the b@stard's karma comes full circle and deals him a sh1tload of serious som nam na.

I was with him yesterday at BPH.

He's ok, a punctured lung as said but he looks well but obviously in a bit of pain, he wasn't stabbed as such, a long sword type blade was thrown at him and it pierced his chest, an inch or 2 to the left and it would have hit his heart. Luckily he stayed conscious and removed it himself, stuck his fingers in the hole and then his wife took him to hospital.

He'll be in there for a few days more no doubt but thankfully he's now out of danger.

This type of behavior is so bizarre. Can and will break any laws with impunity and then

simply lie about what transpired to the police and since the farang rarely understands

everything is not able to contradict the statement. These people who attack with

weapons for the purpose of grievous bodily harm should be then charged accordingly. :o

Is his Embassy involved now. Surely this is a prime case where our diplomats should have some sway make it unequivically plain that our nationals can not be harmed with impunity. The days of sending a gunboat up the river may be long gone but we still let the ex pm hole up in Mayfair when he had some " difficulties ".

Even with the eccentricities of Thai law there is absolutley no excuse that can get you out of trouble for stabbing or shooting an un-armed man in neutral territory.

What will now probably happen in a case like this is that the attacker will make up all sorts of storys, find out from the police that he is still in the shit, will then provide the police with some sort of incentive to talk the victim out of pressing charges (probably a cash settlement of some description) & then the case never even began let alone gets closed.

If the attacker sees the inside of a court, for the charge of attempted murder, he will do jail time if he admits to doing the stabbing for whatever reason, or there is other proof that he stabbed the victim. Self defense using a weapon against an un-armed individual rarely stands up in a Thai court.

My guess is that if a case like this with a high profile defendant ever sees the inside of the court room the defendant will state that he didn't do it & there will be no witnesses or evidence brought forward, case closed.

Would really like to see hear the full story.

Once again - a speedy recovery K.

Soundman.

I'd like to hear the full story too, why would someone just get stabbed? Was the victim bigger than the stabber and intimidating him? Anyone know the full story or was this guy just a nutter like the guy in Japan the other day?

Hello all, thanks for the posts. Just got my laptop delivered to BKK Pattaya and am broadcasting live and direct from my hospital bed (with webcam for you sexy ladies out there :o )

Not going to go into too much detail about the events yet but it was over nothing more serious than my dog running into someones garden and what was more than likely a case of mistaken identity.

Bit weird pulling a sword out of my chest but at the end of the day it's only a flesh wound

Man, I've always wanted to say that

Laters and thanks again

TIT :D
