:o We are aware of the web page that you referred us to for Citibank and have been to that webpage but there is no place on it at least that I can find to get their exchange rate. The first time we googled Citibank Thailand it came up Cititbank/Bank of Thailand and it gave the exchange rate . We wondering if they were affiliated with one of the other banks around Bangkok or perhaps if someone deals with Citibank they could tell us what the exchange rate currently is. When we wired money to Thailand all banks exchange rate was 33.33 but we only received 29.29 from Citibank and we were wondering if this was normal procedure. How could they survive in Bangkok with an exchange rate 14% lower than the daily average. Incidently the difference in the conversion rate cost us over 4000.00 U.S. Dollars.

If you transferred the money in Baht then you almost certainly got the Offshore/International Rate.

If you had sent $s you would have got the Onshore/Thailand Rate which has until recently given you a far better rate.

For some reason recently they seem to have reached parity more or less.
