Computer Technician

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm desperate to find a good computer technician in the Phuket area (around Patong or Talang area would be great, but really, anywhere is fine). I'm fed up with sending my notebook off to have it checked or upgraded and having it returned with unasked for programs, rearranged files and pre-existing viruses still not removed...If anyone knows of a reliable tech or shop in Phuket (pref. with English speaking staff), I will be eternally grateful.

Thanks

Try E-Whiz on Soi Sai Yuan in Rawai - just past Don's Mall about 500m on the right. Ben is a Thai who trained and worked in the USA and is very helpful, computer savvy and efficient with perfect English - he has helped me on numerous occasions with emergency computer probs and not expensive either.

I used to think the same  thing until a recent incident.  I bought an electrical product from his wife, took it home, then thing blew up and started a fire at my house.  I take it back and he accusses me of not having the electrical setting right and that it was my fault.  I then return said product and showed him that the settings were right and it wasn't my fault, then the guy refuses to talk to me, not apologize and just ignored me in the shop.  Well 3 weeks later and no call from Ben nor any word on said product which should have arrived 2 weeks ago.  Last time I deal with him and his attitude.  Of course I haven't seen a refund either.

Back to the OP, this shop is not in the area you are looking for.
