The map below is from the website for the resort where I have built my future retirement home. I was just curious about the notation on there for an "outlet mall." Anyone familiar with it?

There are a couple of outlet malls near the turnoff to Khao Yai. They are pretty much what you'd expect, name brand clothing and other items at discount prices from individual shops in an outdoor mall. I've been. Never bought anything. Did have a nice steak meal at a big restaurant at one of them, though.

One mall is very good with a lot of different well known brands represented.

It is the one in which the steak plate photo was taken by the looks of the other photos

The other is mediocre at best all under one roof and not worth the stop

They are bout 5km apart on the same side of the road (going into Bangkok)

I found the prices to be about 20% to 40% cheaper than in town

I think I´ll head to FC. That steak looks mouthwatering

From Korat you could take the bus to Bkk and ask them to stop at the Outlet mall, Im not quite sure how easy it would be to get a bus coming back. Other than that Korat has a taxi meter service. From Korat to the outlet is about 1 hrs drive.
