Hi there

Im 24 and am currently travelling the world. Im not sure how much longer Im gonna be staying in Thailand, perhaps another year or so and then Im not really sure where Im gonna go next. My question is I need to get some health insurance in case anything ahppens to me awhilst Im travelling. Im a british citizen and was wondering if anyone can help me. I cant really afford a great deal so any links that maybe be able to help me would be greatly appreciated. Ive looked at loads of websites but bought some before and it was totally not what I wanted, so this time around I wanna get it bang on.

Cheers

How long have you been here? Can you still be classified as a UK resident? (I think the criteria is something like having a permanant UK address and having been physically in the UK in the last 3 months at some point, but check any UK travel insurance website and it will tell you). If not, you're going to have a serious problem getting UK travel insurance. If you can, go ahead and get one of their yearly policies (not one of the ones that covers you for a year but only 90 days at a time, but a full year one). I have to warn you it's going to be pretty expensive. If you can't qualify as a UK resident, the cheapest option you have is to take out Thai health insurance. Tony Dabbs at e-insure Thailand is excellent and very helpful. PM me if you want the link, since I'm not sure about posting commercial links here...
