Is There A Rock/mineral Specimen Store In Bangkok?

Featured Replies

Or anywhere else in Thailand?

Not looking for carved stones, but rather rough stones, as found in the ground, crystals, amathyst, quartz, malachite, etc.

Yes, its been 2 years since I was last there but the best I can recollect it is on Charoen Krung Rd on the river side of the street between Si Phraya Rd and Surawong Rd. It's down in the "jewelry district". And I think there are a couple of others in the area too. Ask around and I'm sure some one there will tell you.

On the south side of Silom Road at the intersection with Charoen Krung, just west of Lerdsin Hospital, there's a large mall with jewelry shops and such and a few of these have some mineral specimens. Drop in if you're nearby, but not really worth a special visit.

Fortune City/Town on Ratchada Phisek, 2nd or 3rd floor i think

PM me and I'll give you the phone number of a seller in Silom (his shop is closed but I was in his apartment last week). He has some really nice things...amethyst, lapis, opal, quartz, topaz, etc.
