I duel boot Vista with SP1 + XP Pro with SP3

Vista is fine and always starts with 1280x1024

if I go to XP it always starts 800x600... I must change it every time... it is not that great a problem, as I only have to use XP about twice a day.

Is there some trick/setting that will always open XP on 1280x1024 ?? I have a Dell 21" LCD monitor.. Graphics card is the 8600GT

Try the followig: Set the resolution in XP to 1280x 1024 by using to right click in Desktop, click on Properties -> Settings and move the Slider to 1280 x 1024, click Apply and Yes to keep the settings in the following windows. After that you right click on Desktop and click on Refresh.

That should keep the settings.

Cheers.

Or try setting the resolution with you graphics card software.
