Moving To Bangkok

Featured Replies

Hi All,

My family and I are looking for a place to live currently in Bangkok. We have found an area that seems nice, right around St Louis Hospital, I was wondering though if there is any reason we should not move to this area, ie security or anything else you could think of. My family consists of My wife and I as well as our two young daughters under the age of 2. As well we will only be spending one year in country so schooling is not really a concern. Any advice you could give is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Pat

The area is quite ok, close to the BTS, safe, close to nice hotels on the river / restaurants, very little motorbike noise at night - those are the positives.

Negatives, living next to the hospital you will hear ambulances, traffic on Sathorn heading towards the Taksin bridge at rush hour is not good (but BTS is nearby). Shopping for groceries requires a taxi to Lotus on Rama 3 or Tops at Silom Centre.

Will you live in a serviced apartment?
