Buying Drink At The Airport....

Featured Replies

The last once or twice I've come into Suwannapoom airport to re-enter Thailand I've taken/bought just the

one bottle(1 litre). As far as I know this is the rule for liquor!!

At the King Power(the one "after" Passport check and just before the "goods to declare/nothing to declare")

it was quite funny that some of the staff said to me that whilst this was the rule it was fine for me to buy a

2nd/3rd bottle and put it in my hand-luggage bag....but not in their King Power as it is a transparent plastic

bag and would be visible!!!

The bottom line here being that it may or may not work and it's at my risk.Sooooo....................

just wondering if anyone out there does this repeatedly and whether or not this is something that the

authorities are cracking hard down on.It's probably just a matter of luck and just something that is maybe not

worth the hassle....

**PS** King Power have a big shopping complex in Bangkok City itself(according to their website).

Wondering if anyone has ever been and if the drink selection(whiskies) and prices are the

same as the airport equivelant?????

Here's the link.........
