I'm looking for a used Isuzu MU7 4wd diesel, manual gearbox with a VGS turbo. Does anybody knows a reliable Isuzu dealer in BKK who sells used cars, or maybe an address where they sell repossessed cars.

Due to the high value in Thailand of second hand cars, why don't you buy a new one?

I buy one a week ago: 1.170.000 (top 4x4), 50,000 discount, 30,000 insurance and accessories, 1.9% interest on 5 years (you need somebody guarantee for you).

Good deal, I'm very satisfied!

Cant be that hard to find an Izusu in Thailand???

Open a car magazine if you are looking for second hand, go to the dealership if you want new.

Good luck buying second hand, I am to scared to buy it from a Thai, I cant fix it and I do not know how they have treated it!

PS, why not a new honda CRV or a Fortuner or a Captiva?

I agree with Snowflake. I would never buy a second hand car over here from a Thai dealer or from Thais in private. it would just be a con. go new, there are plenty of affordable new motors in Thailand, and with very low interest on the payments.

Not easy for everyone to get a loan on a car here if they don't have the WP and paperwork etc. That said, it's as hard for a loan on second hand as new, perhaps more so I imagine.

I might be tempted by a second hand runaround for no money or perhaps buying from someone I knew who had the vehicle new but like some others have said, the difference between new and used prices is not that great unless really old and I don't trust motors second hand here generally.

When we bought our truck we considered a 1 or 2 year old model but when you factor in the insurance, any accidents (and you always have scrapes and dings here) and potential for clocking and lack of maintenance we went and bought new.

Plus, with the Mu-7, the current models wil be the Gols series (wow !) but second hand ones are unlikely to be and thus are somewhat devalued. Also, with a new vehicle, you can shop around and get what you want. You can make sure you get all the extras etc. With second hand you don't have that choice.

Thanks for your advice. I like a MU7 because its have the best value for money, and the VGS turbo engine is superb even meets the EU emission 3 level.

Also I drive sometimes long distances ( more than 800 km) and the moment I stepped in I feel immediately at home.

Shortly I will move up to Thailand so I need a car urgently, can not afford a long delivery time.

So if I pay cash money and take a showroom model will it be possible to have an extra discount?

Just out of interest (excuse the pun), but how is that 1.9% interest calculated? I find a lot of the quoted interest rates for buying cars are misleading in that you are paying interest on the whole sum borrowed.

Congratulations with your new car. Can you tell where you bought it.

In Isuzu dealer in Surathani. I pay 14.000 baht/month for 5 years (840.000 = about 70.000 baht interest)
